Hey guys,

so i have a major problem with our society and here it is: no one has time to live their lives as teenagers. there! i said it! i am in my last year of high school, but honestly i don't know how i have managed through four years of torture. actually, come to think of it, i haven't! it's a pain in the ass. i am almost always in my room doing work or procrastinating (on here and writing books), and because of this i don't really have much of a relationship with my parents. school takes up soo much time. and we are all just learning for the tests. it's all about which school has the best scores, not which school has the smarter students. everything is a competition and i am fed up with it. most everything is online for school, and the teachers suck because no one is retaining or learning anything. why? because we are always so stressed out about getting good grades and getting work in on time that we don't have time to retain the information for good. in schools we should have more discussion and actually take the time to learn subjects, then maybe it will be more interesting and not boring for most of us.

we need time to spend with our friends and family. we shouldn't have to procrastinate on schoolwork to have to time, to result in stress and mental breakdowns. i hate it. does anyone else feel this way? because i have noticed a lot of stress in the word school. as teenagers and young adults, we shouldn't be stressing everyday. and what ever happened to weekends being non-school days? everyone does work anyway. americans are not the smartest, so we need to stopping thinking we are and fix the problem. get better teachers and stop trying to be politically right, we are loosing our culture and religion mostly due to our need to make everyone happy and trying not offend anyone. we live so freely that we are sheltered. and that doesn't even make any sense.

alright there is more to say, i just need a break. anyone want to add or agree or disagree or rant? i want to know if anyone has the same idea.

I completely agree with you about this. If the government stopped taking money from education to work on economy, which doesn't work because we don't have knowledge for the jobs so it gets outsourced. All my classes, I honestly never have any idea what is going on. I just remember a few things and do good on my test, and hope I can remember enough to pass my exams. I remember in Elementary and Middle School, well for me at least, my teachers built on previous knowledge and wanted us to better society. Now at high school, teachers are so worried about their job we can't learn. I know for a fact, my state(Florida) is somewhere around ranked 48 out of 50 in education. Our governor Rick Scott basically says if students don't pass the FCAT(Florida Comprehension Assessment Test) it means the teacher is bad and has to fired. And because everyone is so scared to say the wrong thing and be 'politically incorrect' that people are afraid to speak. I know in my school, people are afraid to report people of another race for they can be called racist. While I for one believe in my first amendment, I don't care much about religion in schools. If students want to have a christian club, then by all means do so. But when my friends and I want to start an Atheist or Free thinkers club, don't try and tell me no.

Also, the weekends need to be free of school. A little homework I won't mind. But loading me down with so much and shoving stuff down my throat I'm never going to need in life, that is to much. And I for one want to go to university and become a teacher, cause I seriously am worried that the next few generations are doomed. But the economy being the way it is, I can't even get a job at McDonalds because apparently I need a diploma to work there. If the government just looked at us for a few minutes, threw some money into public education, we can out of the deficit and into a surplus within 20 years. People need to be educated. I would love to be in a biology class where I can openly discuss evolution and not have to worry about being told to be quiet because there is a christian who believes in creationism. That or in history talk about the War of Northern Aggression(Civil War) from the Confederacy and Union side, not just the Union. In most of our history classes, the Atlantic Slave trade is portrayed so wrong, that I literally just want to get up and tell me teacher they are wrong and I am teaching the class.

I just want to show up to school, get an education, and actually be able go to university in two years when I graduate and actually be able talk to my professors like I have a bit of sense.

yes! i am with you on that. i am in california and it is all about these tests and the reputation of the school. and yes, so many students get by with good grades, not necessarily a good education. i wish i could just step up to the school and change it right there. that is great that you want to become a teacher, because you will certainly know how to teach right! i am becoming a writing and am starting my first series now, but i wanted to write about this someday. and knowing that you are from florida and there is practically the same problem, i am glad to know (then again not that america is bogus). now here we don't need a diploma to work at places like mcdonalds. o.o that is crazy! i mean some places yes, but then again here most of our jobs are being taken up by mexicans because of them immigrating here and all.

and yes! if people want to create religious clubs at school let them! i mean if you're in a class and something makes you uncomfortable, tell the teacher or just ignore it, it's not like it's gonna kill you to be around someone that isn't of your religion. we are all human, we should not be sexist or racist or religious intolerant. but that is something that will never change. people can't just accept, they must always judge and judge so boldly and disrespectfully.

oh yea! and some schools don't even do the pledge of allegiance, i know my old one didn't. that is really saying something. also how little respect people have towards our president. i mean they may disagree and talk about it to others and within their homes, but they do not need to be posting on facebook and having stickers on you cars and just outwardly dissing OUR president. i don't care who it may be, or how terrible a job he may be doing, he is our president nonetheless.

The school I'm at currently doesn't do the pledge either, though the last school I was at did it. I just miss having pride in my country and saying I'm American. I think if we could stopped being so greedy and worrying about everyone else, and focused on our country, we will be amazing. I spend a few extra dollars for a tag in the back that says made in the USA. And people really need to leave our president alone. Presidents essentially are what we want done with America, but then we vote in the complete opposite for congress and wonder why nothing is ever done.

i am so with you there. our respect and support for our country is dying (or has died and is still dying). we are so busy helping everyone else when we should be focusing on the quality and shape of america.

and it's a dystopian series xD first book is being edited now so idk when it will be released but i shall let you know!
