Was anyone else here disappointed with Catching Fire and Mocking Jay? I feel Catching Fire was rushed and just spurred out as a filler so was can have a small connection for Mocking Jay. I would have loved for the Victory Tour to be described more in depth, the arena to actually have felt like a games. To me, it felt like it was rushed and people were just grouped up out of no will. I know they were all part of rebellion, but I can't see Johanna wanting to team up with Katniss and bring with her the people Katniss wanted. I just think the games could have been done better, like in the first book.
For Mockingjay, I didn't really care to much about the killing off of people. The only thing that bothered me was the last part where it ended. I just wished they wrapped the epilogue up a bit better, adding in even a few more paragraphs to show us what happened.
I was just wondering, did anyone feel the books felt a bit rushed in those two? Maybe I'm wrong, but I think it worth discussing.

Personally, I loved Catching Fire but then that might just be my undying love for Finnick. :L I got through it just as quickly as I did the first book, a little over a day, but Mockingjay was something of a disappointment. I could easily put it back on the shelf at the end of a chapter and the worst part about Finnick's death was that it got so little attention. I understand that Katniss was in a bit of a hurry so couldn't sit around thinking about it but I felt like he was just killed because Collins wanted to throw some more deaths in. It could have been a lot more sentimental, if that's the right word to use.
