This here is Neon Hilderic, my semi-established designer who’s styling the Games for his second year. He’s wanted to be a stylist for the Hunger Games ever since he was a child, and used to watch the opening ceremonies and was mesmerized by all the amazing outfits the tributes sported. His obsession grew from there and he became interested in every aspect of the annual event. To define him at a basic level, Neon is a self-assured male mixed with pinches of courage, innovation, vigilance, charm, lust, hastiness, dishonesty and iron will. He’s eccentric, flamboyant and a bit of a flirt, though when it comes down to it he’s a decent person — depending, of course, on what your personal definition of “decent” is. With Neon, people rarely have an ambivalent opinion of him after they’ve formally met him — he’s either their friend, their sworn enemy, or simply someone they have not met yet. His overall wit and appeal usually means that while he’ll have a fair number of friends, he won’t have many close ones. He separates his life into two neatly cut categories (work and family) and leaves very little space for anything else. If you are part of his professional life, you probably won’t make it into his personal, and vice versa. For those who have managed to wiggle their way into his good graces, however, chances are that they will stay there for life. Neon is loyal to those he truly cares about, in spite of what it may look like from his commitment issues and philandering nature. That leads to his less attractive side — Neon can be impulsive, lecherous, stubborn, cunning and intrusive. Undoubtedly, he’ll have just as many enemies as he has friends, if not more. Maybe you could be the boyfriend of a girl he’d shamelessly hit on, or maybe you’re that girl herself. Maybe you don’t like the way he approaches his work, or the way that he goes about doing other stuff; really, it could be anything. Neon himself may not be one for mindless conflict, as he’s quite level-headed despite his numerous flaws. It takes a lot to make him angry, but once you’ve gotten to that point, he’s childish in the way that he’ll most likely never forgive you. He’s the sort of person who holds grudges for life, though he’s pretty forgiving on a regular basis. Neon’s romantic life is something of a revolving door of women walking in and out, so lovers will be plenty. He never settles down and tends to nip any fling or budding relationship in the bud as soon as he senses that the girl is getting serious. His luck with actual love is pretty much nonexistent: for one, he isn’t the sort of person who’d sit around dreaming for the perfect partner, knowing he’s probably never going to find her, and for another, he isn’t sure he wants to. Neon is, by default, not the sort of man who is fitted for the family life — but, maybe, that could change. So really, I’m open for almost anything you might have to offer, so plot with him! |
