Having a fashion designer for your mother certainly had its benefits, especially if she gave you access to the wide range of materials that she used for her own designs. Jasper had never been one to deny an opportunity and so he made full use of his mother's connections. Of course, using the back room of her shop required some repayment on his behalf and so that was why he was now sitting over his designs at least an hour after the shop had closed. One of the District Twelve stylists had placed an order for some fabric and so Rebekah had told Jasper that if he wanted to use her materials, he'd have to stick around until she came to collect it and then make sure he locked up properly when he was finished. Exactly why the stylist couldn't pick up her order during working hours was beyond him but he knew better than to argue with his mother. If he didn't just do as he was told, she'd keep him from using her room until he barely had enough time for it to be of help.
After four years with District Eleven, there were positives and negatives to his transfer to Nine. The clean slate gave him a fresh start and no need to worry if it was too similar to what he'd done the previous year. However, not everybody took the time to find out who the stylist was for a particular tribute and so that advantage meant practically nothing. He also had to try and come up with a completely new set of designs for a different industry as he hadn't known until just a month ago that he would be given a different district. Now as he pored over the designs he'd come up with in that time, he realised that none of them were good enough. Everything was too plain, too average, too unexciting. Nothing in that book would save his tribute's life. He'd watched the reapings earlier that day. What was his name again? Jeremiah? Yes, that was it. Nothing in that book would save Jeremiah's life.
Jasper hadn't been at all certain as to what would happen when the stylist arrived but he hadn't been expecting the buzz from the small speaker-type device above the room's door that he had only just noticed. The surprise resulted in him tipping backwards in his chair but he was fortunately able to grab onto the table and pull himself and the chair upright before he hit the floor. "Well that explains the doorbell," he muttered to himself, always having wondered why there was a button beside the entrance from the street. Jasper stood up and walked through the shop towards the large transparent doors and was greeted with the sight of a handsome young man that couldn't be much older or younger than his own age. He wasn't quite sure who he was, for he certainly wasn't the stylist his mother had described to him, but assumed he'd been sent on her behalf and so opened the door for him.
"I take it you work with District Twelve?" he asked, flashing the man smile before stepping aside to let him in. "The stuff's in the back room, it should all be measured out ready," Jasper told him, shutting the door after he had stepped through before leading the way back to his mother's workroom. "I'm Jasper by the way, Rebekah's son. I don't know if she mentioned that I'd be here rather than her but that's my mother for you." Why hadn't she been there herself again? She would usually never trust Jasper with something so important. Of course, it was Katerina's clarinet recital. As always, the perfect daughter got prioritised over everything else in a way that Jasper never had. What bugged him most about her obvious favouritism was that she made so little attempt to appear otherwise.

Darren rolled his eyes in annoyance and just nodded his head. He was told to go to this store to get a fabric ordered by the stylist that he works for. The stylist said that he had another meeting and cannot miss it so he needed someone to do this work for him. Really? It didn’t mean that when you’re like the leader of the prep team that you have to do all the work. They were like three in the team to ask and why he was always the one to be asked to do this kind of shit. Oh well, Darren never really wanted to disobey people because he wanted to be a good example for his team. He was the only guy so yeah; he is the man of the team. It didn’t matter that he was gay, he was still a guy. He let out a deep sigh and stood up.
Darren grabbed his gray cardigan over his red plaid polo with a bowtie. He placed his brown leather belt around his waist and into the green fitted skinny jeans. He was already wearing a good pair of shoes so he decided to go outside. He continued to think of what to do, what to say and what to expect. Things could go wrong and shit might happen. Then, Darren thought that he was over thinking things so he sighed to let out the pressure that he was feeling. He continued walking; trying to follow the direction the stylist gave him. He was sure that he could still remember it. Well, Darren thinks he can.
The sounds of his steps were not that loud but he could totally hear it. He looked around him and felt like he was lost. He was sure he followed the direction properly. Darren looked around and discovered that he read the wrong street. He covered his face with his palm and shook his head. He headed on the right direction and hoped that he reached the place early so that he could do whatever he wanted. As he took more treads, Darren finally reached his destination. It was this shop that looked like it was meant for fashion. Well, obviously. Darren felt dumb thinking about such things so he just went up to the door and rang the bell. He was ringing for a few times now and the door had not opened yet. Thinking that nobody might be there pissed Darren a lot. If no one is here, I am going to puke my guts out right here he thought to himself. He was certainly not in a good mood. It was his rest day so he could not even give a fuck about the assignment.
He was about to leave the place when somebody opened the door. He raised his head to look at the person and greet him or her. Out of nowhere, Darren’s face was looking shocked. He stared at the guy in front of him. He didn’t seem to look older or younger than him but he looked really great. He was very handsome. The guy assumed that he I worked for District 12 so he might know that the stylist could not come. Well, that was cute. But it was not that strong to cover up Darren’s entire mood so he just painted a smile on his face and greeted the guy. ”Hey there,” he said. He tried to not to converse or else the assignment given to him was going to take much longer. The guy let him in so he entered the shop and the guy closed the door. He was about to say something about the fabric thing but the guy spoke. He was talking about the stuff. Well, I think the stuff was about the fabric. He was hoping. There couldn’t be other stuff.
Then, the guy started to introduce himself. His name was Jasper and he was the son of Rebekkah. Then he said more things about himself and his mom. Darren smirked a little and thought that he might be a mommy’s boy which is not a bad thing because it really is nice. It’s just that he found it very cute. He wanted to giggle but he stopped it and then he looked stupid. Well, maybe it was proper to introduce him too. ”Well Jasper, my name is Darren. And yeah, like you, I’m here because the stylist could not be so I am the substitute,” he said. He took out the annoyance in his face so that it would not look so bad. And at least the guy was cute.
He was observing him and he found him very handsome. ”You look great” he said accidentally. His eyes widened. It was suppose to be inside his head but he unexpectedly said it. ”I didn’t mean, I, I was—“

'Okay, okay! Give me a chance to get to the door,' Jasper thought as he passed the racks of clothes that formed the main body of the shop. He wasn't irritated by it as such, seeing as his increasing distance from the back room made the buzzer quieter each time the bell was pressed and he wasn't exactly walking in a hurry, but it caught his attention. With his lack of urgency brought to his attention, Jasper started to walk faster so as to get to the door before the customer on the other side got too impatient and left. His mother certainly wouldn't thank him if the fabrics were still there when she arrived in the morning, especially if she discovered that the stylist had actually come to collect it. Well, someone on his behalf anyway, presumably a member of his prep team
"Well Darren, it's nice to meet you. I'm sure the substitute in this situation is far better than who I was expecting." From what Rebekah had told him, the stylist was something of a bossy boots and that wasn't the type of dominance Jasper enjoyed. The man in front of him appeared to be far more pleasant in his attitude and was rather appealing to look at. Perhaps if the odds were on his side, the evening could turn out to be far more interesting that just overseeing the collection of some material.
A grin spread quickly across the stylist's face as he was complimented and stayed firmly in place upon discovering that he hadn't intended to say it out loud. Did he care? No, not at all. In fact, he loved the attention as he always had done. "Nah, it's fine. You look great too," he replied truthfully, throwing in a wink for good measure before proceeding towards the back room. "So what was so important to your stylist that he had to send an attractive young man like yourself into the night?" As much as the Capitol made itself out to be superior to all of the districts, there was probably just as much danger in the city's darkness as there was in any other part of Panem.

[style=font-family: times; font-size: 12px; letter-spacing: 1px; text-transform: lowercase; color: #989898; font-style: italic; font-weight: bold;] 459 WORDS FOR JASPERyay! Jasper and Darren meets! YAAY! DARREN [/style] | [atrb=border,0,true][atrb=width,450,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,true][atrb=cellPadding,0,true][atrb=style, background-color: #6d6d6d;] [style=padding: 10px; text-align: justify; font-family: arial; font-size: 10px; height: 475px; overflow: auto; color: #1e1e1e;]When Jasper said that the substitute, who was Darren, was much better than whom he expected to come. Well, Darren smiled as he thought that was really a good thing to say to a stranger. They just met and it seem like they were trying to kill each other with compliments. Darren was really feeling weird now as he was thinking that Jasper was all kind of cute.
When he slipped those few words, a grin came out of Jasper. Darren’s face was getting a little red because of the embarrassment and also because of Jasper’s grin. It was really hot. Well, not as hot as him though but there was something about Jasper that switched on his insides. If this was some random day and not a work day, which is not supposed to be one, Darren would have been much friendlier and flirted with him to an extent.
Then, Jasper said that it was fine that he said that and Darren looks great too. Darren was not a narcissistic person but he did enjoy looking good especially his physical attributes. Jasper also winked at him which shocked Darren in a good way. Is he flirting with me? Darren thought. He just shrugged it with a smile on his face and replied to him. “Well, thank you,” he responded. He could not think of anything to say more. A few moments passed after the event and Jasper proceeded to the back of the room. Darren just followed him because he had no idea where the fabric is in this store.
Suddenly, Darren thought of something weird. His imaginations were fucking him up. It was showing him a situation where Darren stood near to Jasper and they were face to face. Then, he wrapped his arms around Jasper’s neck and gave stared at his wonderful eyes. What the fuck am I thinking? he asked himself. Sometimes, he could not control what he was thinking and it would bother him so much. Jasper cut Darren’s weird imagination when he spoke and asked why was he the one here instead of the stylist. He was now looking up thinking of the reason. “Actually, I never asked him,” he started, “but he said it was very important.” Darren was not the type of person that would mind others’ business especially when he’s got nothing to do with it.
Darren wanted to ask the same question to him so, he did. “And what is the handsome son of Rebekkah,” who Darren never met, “doing here instead of your mother?” He let out a smile and decided to go closer to Jasper. He just thought that he might see the fabric from where he was standing from since Darren could not see it yet.

Jasper couldn't be certain that his flirtatious efforts were proving effective but if his past experiences were anything to go by, he was at least making progress. While he preferred not to sound arrogant, he was well aware of how attractive he was and plenty of people had verbally confirmed this, most recently the man that revealed himself to be Darren. There was always the possibility that he wasn't interested in males but as he'd just said he looked great and was working on a prep team, the odds were tipped in his favour despite his reluctance to stereotype in such a manner. A short-lived mental image of how hot they'd look together was all it took to convince him that Darren would need to go on his to-do list, even if it took him his whole life to tick it off.
The stylist nodded as his mother's customer explained that he hadn't asked why he would have to make the collection instead, or else he didn't see why Jasper should be told. If that was the case then there was no problem with it. After all, what it did matter to him why Darren had been sent instead? If he ever did meet the actual stylist in person, he should thank him for not coming himself as he'd instead been blessed with the sight of a beautiful man. The stylist might also have been attractive but for the time being, Jasper would make do with what he had been given with no complaints whatsoever.
Then the question was returned to him. "My little sister's got a clarinet recital so naturally she got the priority, just as she always has done," he replied, mostly concealing his envy but there was enough bitterness to his tone to demonstrate that he disapproved. "But enough of the family problems, you're here for fabric so I wouldn't want to drag it out longer than you want," Jasper added, casting a quick look around the room before walking towards a set of large shelves. It would perhaps have been more efficient of him to find it earlier and then take it to the door but if he had done so, their interaction would have been regrettably short.
After observing the labels on several of the strong cardboard tubes, Jasper finally found one that seemed to match the customer beside him, on which Rebekah had written 'D12' in her cursive script. He pulled it off of the shelf and handed it to Darren with a smile. "I believe this is what you've been sent for. Is there anything else I can help you with?" he asked, releasing his grip on the tube once he was sure that Darren had taken hold of it. Ever since his mother had dropped his favourite mug, he'd been careful to not let go until the other was holding the item in question. "Anything at all," he added, attempting to suggest that he'd enjoy his company for longer without outright stating so.

He said something about his sister being the priority child and always had been. Darren felt bitterness in his voice and felt pity for him. It was obvious that he envied his sister. Who would not? Everybody loved to be the priority. Nobody wanted to be a second choice. Darren wanted to give him a hug because he felt bad for him. ”I should have not asked, sorry,” he apologized. Jasper’s statement made Darren more interested in him. After a few more seconds, Jasper brought up about the fabric. Oh right, that piece of shit the stylist asked me to get, he thought. He saw Jasper took a quick look in the room and this made Darren do the same thing. He looked around and the store just looked very empty to him. Not literally, though. There were just two people in there.
Two people made the place feel gloomy. But it could change. Darren wanted to change the mood of the room. He wanted to break the ugly silence.
There were labels on the cardboard tubes and Jasper was looking at it. He was maybe trying to find the fabric. He saw him pull something and it was the one he was sent for. Jasper spoke again as he reached the fabric to Darren. Darren reached for it and he held on it. He hated the fabric because it was the one the stylist asked for. He hated it because of the stylist though he was thankful too that he has been sent to get it because he got to meet Jasper. As Darren was about to bid an unlikely good bye, Jasper asked if he could help him with anything else and even emphasized on the last few words when he repeated it. This made Darren scoffed. He shook his head and said, “No, nothing else,” he said, “Unless you were flirting with me the whole time. Maybe I am the one who should ask that question.”
Darren was never the flirty guy. He was also never spontaneous at that kind of stuff but that night, he wanted to try. He walked nearer to Jasper with a smirk on his face. “Well?” he asked. As he was a few inches away from Jasper, he stopped and stood in front of him. Jasper was definitely a little taller than him. “Can I be of any help?”

"Don't worry about it. Besides, it's hilarious watching her get yelled at when she fucks up whereas I just get a heavy sigh," Jasper replied, picking out the silver lining like he figured he was supposed to. Every bad situation seemed to have a small benefit to it, even if it was incredibly insignificant and no compensation for the negative, and he imagined seeking this out would at least make things a little better. The diverted spotlight gave him a lot of freedom that his sister didn't have, though a significant part of this would also be down to his age, and he certainly enjoyed the ability to do whatever he wanted without fear of his parents lecturing him. The jealousy he'd developed in his younger years had mostly subsided now, or at least that's what he tried to convince himself.
His gut sank a little as Darren said there was nothing else he could help him with, disappointed that his efforts for the young man had been in vain. As arrogant as it may have sounded, he wasn't used to being turned down by anyone that he had genuinely tried for. Perhaps he hadn't been quite as obvious in his intentions as he usually was but he had definitely hinted at his attraction. His doubts were soon discarded as Darren began to speak again and a grin spread across the stylist's face. "If you've seen your reflection, you won't blame me for flirting," he said, winking a second time to emphasise his point.
The grin spread further across his face as Darren moved closer to him, close enough to stare right into the brown of his beautiful eyes. "Well that all depends on what you're offering," he began, closing the final few inches so that the tips of their noses were touching and sliding his hands down from his upper torso to rest on his stomach. "We could stay here and corrupt my mother's desk or you could come back to my place and help me evaluate how comfy my bed is." It was maybe a little forward to jump straight to the assumption that sex was on the menu but what else did he expect from Jasper? He could sit through a meal or movie beforehand if he got to have fun afterwards but if he didn't then he saw it as little more than a waste of time.

It was sometimes better to be ignored than to get all of the attention. Too much of anything might be dangerous. Darren was an only child so he never experienced such heartbreak. It might not be obvious but he thought Jasper was just trying to feel good. Well, it was not his business so Darren just tried to ignore that thought.
Jasper complimented him and it just gave him the chills. He was too sweet but he was speaking too much. Darren wanted some action, not a bag of sexy words. Then, Jasper answered his question. It depended on what Darren wanted to offer. That made Darren scoffed and said, “I can offer you anything.” The smirk on his face was just too sexy to handle for anyone. Jasper slid his hand on his torso. Was that a sexual indication right there? Darren bit his lip unconsciously as a response. Who would not? Jasper was like one of the hottest guy he saw in his life. And yes, he is not exaggerating. He had a very high standard for a guy. If he did not see one thing on his list of standards, he would totally throw the guy away. So lucky for Jasper, he did not throw him. He would even keep him. And who would not like Darren? If he was straight, he could have had sex with every single girl in the capitol already.
The last sentences Jasper said was very arousing. It made Darren more excited of the event happening that night. Well, Darren thought corrupting the desk of Jasper’s mom would be fine since he had never tried that. But then, he offered the bed? Anyone would pick the bed. Darren, on the other hand, wanted to try something before he took the offer for the bed.
He moved a little more to Jasper and now they were literally face to face. Darren was staring at his beautiful eyes. It was really beautiful. The figure of his face was really perfect. Well, it was perfect for him. Just a second have passed, Darren lifted both of his arms and wrapped it around Jasper. As what he thought before, Jasper was a few centimeters taller than him so his arms were a little slanted upwards. He moved his face towards him until their noses were in contact. Darren bit his lips again as he continued to tease Jasper. He wanted to know if he was really into him. And teasing was the only way to know it. “Can you really wait that long?,” he said and moved his face to the right side of his face. He breathed air on his neck and went back to his nose position a while ago. “Could you?”
He moved his lips closer to his but Darren did not kiss him yet.

Had their situation not been quite as it was now, Jasper might have considered slowing down to figure out whether sex was really included under Darren's offer of anything. As it was, the two of them were standing extremely close and were obviously interested in each other in such manner, thus he would pay no more attention to the possibility of Darren not acting with such a motive. "Then I would very much like to take you up on that offer," he replied, mentally cheering as if he were watching from the side of the room as Darren slipped his arms around his waist. Deeming it simple courtesy, Jasper returned the favour by sliding his hands from his stomach around his sides and down to rest on his behind.
"I'll wait for as long as is necessary," Jasper told him, his excitement started to become biologically noticeable. With their noses now touching, the stylist took it upon himself to close that tiny space between their lips and kissed him. His conveniently placed hands pulled Darren right up against him so he could feel the warmth radiating through the marginally shorter man's clothes. "My apartment's not too far from here and it'll take all of two seconds to lock up on the way out." Jasper had no particular preference as to where they went. The desk could be interesting but potentially uncomfortable, not to mention that they'd need to take the stuff off and then put it back exactly as it had been before, whereas his bed was far more comfortable but very familiar. "So it all depends on whether or not you can tolerate a five minute walk before the real fun begins."

His lips appealed to him so he did not think twice and decided to kiss back. Kissing was a big turn-on for Darren so he really liked kissing Jasper. And he thought that he was a really good kisser. As he pulled Darren closer to him their bodies were then closed the space between them. As a response, Darren placed his arms around his neck and continued kissing back. He was never this easy to get before. There was just something about Jasper that could really turn him on.
There are a few that turns Darren on. Kissing is one. He just thought kissing was the best thing a couple could do. Of course, sex was good but kissing had a lot more of a meaning. It’s a better affection of love for him. In sex, he would want the guy to be really great at it and that could make him moan loud. And shockingly, only a few had made him moan. He was not a whore so he did not have sex a lot of times, only with his ex-boyfriends and guys like Jasper. And Jasper was no common guy. He was something else. And that made Darren do this teasing attitude. Teasing is also a turn on for him. He liked to challenge his lovers and the other way around. It seemed more exciting.
Jasper broke the link and talked about his apartment not being too far away. He really wanted somewhere comfortable, not that the store was not like that. And Jasper said he could clean the place in just two seconds. Darren laugh at that and said, ”Don’t exaggerate. Except if you are really that excited.” He smiled and still did not answer his question. A bed would be really great. So that could be a good idea. But then, is Darren doing the right thing? What if this Jasper guy was not who he thought he was? Well, it was really a good thing to take risks. Darren nodded his head as a response with a smile on his face. Jasper did not really want to mess up the store. That could have been hot though. “Well, I don’t want you to fix all of the mess that could have happened,” Darren told Jasper. “That would upset your mother, right? Momma’s boy?” he continued staring at Jasper with a smile on his face. He took his arms off around his neck. Jasper asked him if he could endure a five minute walk.
Is that a challenge? Darren thought. He held Jasper’s hand that was placed on his behind and gently took it off of its place though he would want it to be there for a bit longer. ”As long as you don’t rape me on the streets before we even reach your place,” Darren said as he joked. He moved backwards and waited for Jasper to finish up the place because he needed to. He would have helped but Darren might just mess things up. He remembered that he still needed to bring the fabric the stylist told him to get. He placed it inside his cardigan because it would not fit in his pockets. He would need to bring it or else the stylist would think he did not go or maybe Darren did something else there.

Had his lips not been otherwise occupied, Jasper would have grinned at Darren's return of the action but he did manage to smile just enough to be noticeable but not so much that the dynamics of their interaction were compromised. Though he usually had little trouble convincing people to fulfill his fantasies, he had expected more persuasion to be necessary. Apparently he was as irresistible as he pretended to believe himself to be for although he knew he was attractive and made no attempts to claim otherwise, he wasn't quite as arrogant as he sometimes appeared to be from his self-confidence.
"Okay, so maybe a little more than two seconds but it doesn't take long to shove in a key and twist it." Jasper felt no need to comment on how excited he was as his body was doing a perfect job of that with no verbal confirmation needed. The idea of having sex with Darren had settled into his mind and woken up his downstairs friend. He also opted to ignore being called a momma's boy for this was far from the truth. Until he'd gotten a styling job, his mother had paid him little attention though he had most likely exaggerated the extent of this within his own head.
"As exciting as that sounds, I'll do my best to be patient. Besides, you'd be far too willing for rape to be rape." Jasper knew that if their roles were reversed and Darren pushed him into an alley way and had his way with him, he wouldn't have minded in the slightest. His only concern would have been that they could get caught and that they could be somewhere more comfortable. He grabbed the main keys from the desk and led Darren out to the front of the shop, opening the main door as they left and then locking it behind him. He hesitated for a moment as the lights remained on before they each faded out, just as his mother had told him they would upon locking the door. "So, my place then?" he said, holding his elbow out to Darren as a suggestion for them to link arms. It might have been slightly odd but he figured it would possibly be less awkward than just walking alongside each other to his place, more so under their planned circumstances than if he'd just been coming as a friend.

DARREN [/style] | [atrb=border,0,true][atrb=width,450,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,true][atrb=cellPadding,0,true][atrb=style, background-color: #6d6d6d;] [style=padding: 10px; text-align: justify; font-family: arial; font-size: 10px; height: 475px; overflow: auto; color: #1e1e1e;]Of course it’s a little more than two seconds. No one could clean the store in just two seconds except maybe if Jasper had some kind of super powers. And that would be totally epic if he really did. Then, Jasper said that it won’t take him too long to shove down the key and twist it. If Darren was not having an affair with him, he would think that that was just something normal to say. But then he was sexually aroused so he thought it was some kind of sex metaphor Jasper was implying to him. Of course he might be wrong but Darren was just too horny to even think normally. ”I would love to see you insert your key,” he whispered while watching Jasper clean up the store.
He could feel that they were both excited of what was supposed to happen that night. Then, Jasper replied to his rape comment. Darren scoffed at him saying that he’d be far too willing for rape to be raped. Well, if it would be Jasper that would rape him, he’d let him do everything he would want to do to him. ”Nah, I’ll just wait for your bed,” Darren said. He would want to play hard to get but it would be also hard for him. Being hard to get to that handsome creature would be a big sin for anybody. And Jasper did not back down even a little either. Which means Darren might have attracted him so much to pretend not into him.
Jasper led him to the door so Darren did. He opened the door for Darren which he found very sweet. Jasper was not some guy that is just into sex. Well, they’re just both into sex. It was just that they do respect each other unlike other people who love sex. That was what Darren observed from his actions. As he stepped outside the store, Jasper closed the lights and locked it. Then he asked if they were going to his place. ”Well, you insisted,” Darren replied. ”And I would love to know where your place is,” he added with a smile on his face. Darren would like to keep his a place hidden for now. At least until they really know each other. This might be a one night stand or it could be something else. They could be friends or not. Things were very unpredictable.
Jasper held out his elbow to Darren. That was very a shocking thing to do. And he thought that in a very great way. Darren linked his arm inside the hole Jasper created between his torso and his arm. That was a very casual. And that night might be as well be because casual plus sex really mixed together in those days. ”Lead the way mister,” he said with excitement. He hoped that night was going to be a great one.
