aka district four tribute eighteen, district four, tribute, homosexual, single
perceptive, clever, assertive, realistic, loyal, determined cadmus selkirk volunteered as a tribute for district four in the 74th hunger games. because he wants to kill people? no. because he was picked when he was twelve but someone took his place and then their little brother was picked this year so cadmus knew he had to take his place? yes. he owes his life to otto baxwoll and saving his brother wade was his last chance to repay him. he doubts he's going to make it out of the arena alive but that's not to say he won't try to survive.
as far as friends go, there's little room for these in an arena where everyone except one person is going to end up dead. that said, cadmus comes from a career district and has been training himself as best he can since he saw otto killed in the bloodbath. as such, he'll be joining the career tributes in an alliance. while he has no personal issues with the other tributes, either he has to kill them or they have to kill him so he won't waste any time getting to know them. there's a couple of people in district four that he was friends with but chances are that he won't ever see them again.
for enemies, the capitol is obviously number one on his list. they're the reason the hunger games exist and it was their extra demands that got his father killed. then there's the other tributes. he's clearly not going to be a fan of anyone that's out to kill him and unfortunately anyone in that arena that wants to survive will have to see him die first. cadmus doesn't think he'll win but he's going to give it his best shot. he'll be hesitant about killing anyone that isn't actively trying to kill him but he will make it easier for others to kill them instead of him having to do so himself. it's nothing personal, he just doesn't really want to die.
a relationship probably isn't the first thing you should be worrying about on your way into an arena with twenty-three kids that you need to kill in order to survive. nevertheless, cadmus was hoping to fall in love before his time was up. i'm going to be nice to him and let him have this final request but it's also going to be his doom. he'll spot another tribute after the opening ceremony that takes his fancy and they'll get to talking. in the arena, they'd have an alliance and cadmus would try to make the most of what are probably his final days. as they near the end of the games, either this boy will kill him (because he never cared for him or because he has a personal reason for winning and as cadmus has to die, he wants it to be as painless and possible) or someone else will (and this will then anger him). a nice tragic and possibly-sort-of-romantic ending for cadmus.
so yes, throw some plots at cadmus! i want to hear every idea you've got, no matter how crazy or potentially unrealistic, and i'll let you know if i like it. chances are that i will! (: ....................... |

i foresee these two becoming powerful allies. cadmus isn't like the other overzealous careers. he seems to be very determined, and practical. leonis could use also use a buddy that knows how to fish. leonis isn't a killer, and is surely no backstabber; unless of course, you do something he doesn't like. but he won't just sneak you. but cadmus being as he is, there shouldn't really be any problems. being a supplier of food is a big plus. and not to mention cadmus is pretty skilled with a bow, so he's not helpless by any means. yep i see a powerful little group forming here. (Also, I see you've also sided with Bishop. I guess that means I'll have to fall into place there too.  ) |

well they are the tributes of district 4, so maybe they can have a small friendship before having to kill each other. xD. and they could sometimes help each other in the arena?

the careers are certainly turning out to be a strong bunch, especially together. i think cadmus would almost start to see leonis as a friend and get a little pang of guilt whenever he remembers that at least one of them is going to die.
katri & cadmus
i doubt these two would have been best friends before the games but i think they'd probably have spoken in the past, hopefully more than peeta and katniss did. cadmus would watch her back as she's a familiar face that he doesn't want to let go of. he'll do his best not to have to be the one that kills her. i'd think about what he'd do if they were the last two standing but as cadmus' fate has already been decided, i don't think that scenario's going to pop up. he'll be with the careers so he'll certainly help her if she is too but if not, he seems to be on good enough terms with the careers we have so far that he could persuade them to leave her for later.

i definitely see them becoming good pals by the time the hunger games start. leonis wouldn't really be that uncomfortable with cadmus' sexuality either. i can't see leonis interacting romantically with him though. but yes, i definitely see these two becoming decent friends. should the time come when it's time to shed blood it will be most interesting. |

So here's the boy my mentor here has to try to keep alive, eh? Although I already know the tragic fate that awaits him, I can see Pierce being particularly harsh on Cadmus. Rightfully so, since he wants the boy to have the will to really fight. But still, some of his remarks may be a just a little cruel, if only to get Cadmus into the fighting spirit. Like PFFT THAT'S ALL YOU'VE GOT?! when really inside he's all proud and wanting to push him further. I can also see him getting a bit too attached to the kid, but not wanting to show it. D'aww. Maybe Cadmus feels the same way, or maybe he just completely hates his guts?
That's all I've got right now really, but obviously these two will be threading for sure. <3 Let me know what you think and if you've got some fun ideas! :D
