cadmus' name was drawn from the reaping ball when he was twelve years old, shortly after his father was drowned while trying to meet an increased fish quota for the capitol. a boy called otto baxwoll, the mayor's son, volunteered in his place and died in the bloodbath. so when wade baxwoll's name was called out this year, cadmus felt compelled to volunteer in order to repay his debt as he would surely have died if he'd entered the games earlier. he learnt how to use a bow and arrow through fishing as it was the only plan he could come up with in order to get one from a peacekeeper.

artemis is the victor of the fifty-ninth hunger games as a tribute from district twelve. she was determined to come home and killed thirteen tributes in the four day long games using a combination of throwing knives and nightlock juices. she didn't turn to alcohol or morphling (simply because it didn't help her when she tried) and so has been left with a strong case of paranoia. to ensure the capitol didn't strike out against her family (as her eldest brother's already an avox), she agreed to be a mentor for district twelve in the annual hunger games.
i don't see her as the type to have masses of friends, especially not capitol folk. she sent her own family back to their old home because she was scared she might hurt them in her paranoid state. any friends she does have are likely to be people that she trusts very much. one person that springs to mind as a possibility is the other mentor for district twelve but i can't see her making any effort with other mentors. she'll be nice enough to potential sponsors but she only wants their money.

though he might have some rather undesirable characteristics, he's a nice enough person. he enjoys spending time with his friends and thinks very highly of them. if they need his help then he'll do his best or else direct them to someone that could do a better job than he could. some find his almost immaturity endearing while others are simply irritated by it. it's those that take him for who he is that mean the most to him.
jasper doesn't know when to keep his mouth shut and this often results in people growing to dislike him. he's always got something to say, whether it's complete bullshit or an ugly truth. he actually gets a strange enjoyment from arguing with people and excuses himself by claiming to be practicing for when he becomes a philosopher after he's done as a stylist... but he has no intention of sitting down to write about things with no definite answer. he won't go hating on people that he dislikes as he's far more likely to just ignore you or be painfully nice just to twist the knife a little further.

palaemon takes the lead in the prep team as he's the most level-headed of the three. without him, stefan and hyperia would struggle to work together simply because of their different personalities. pal tends to have this sort of calming effect on people because he just doesn't get stressed, or rather he doesn't let people see this. he prefers to suffer in silence rather than let people know of his insecurities because he'd rather not pour his heart out to someone unless he knows they won't stamp on it.
being a rather friendly person, i imagine most people will at least be his acquaintance. he's rarely seen without a smile unless he's focusing intently on something and even then there's a certain relaxation to his features that says "i'm really busy but i'm not going to kill you if you distract me." while he's not much of a talker himself, he will happily sit and listen to the problems of anyone that wishes to confide in him because he knows how important it is to have someone to trust and if someone has selected him then he's not about to deny them this. he's a genuinely nice person and a worthwhile friend to have.

i imagine a fair few people would be drawn to his easy going nature. he does whatever he feels like doing at that particular moments so that he spends as little of his life being bored as he can. though he's often quite immature, he can be sensible when he feels like it and this is often the case when one of his friends needs some support. while he may seem very young, he's by no means stupid. he knows what the world is like, he's just trying to live in his own because it's better there.

what's the capitol equivalent of hollywood? whatever it is, eupraxia leads the way. she's been an actress ever since a casting director came to her school at the age of fourteen and then conquered the music industry at seventeen. she's one of those people that if someone says they've never heard of them, you think they must have been living in a cave their whole like because she's everywhere. even the districts know who she is. she made a stab at fashion and though it didn't take off as well as her acting and singing, her label is still in many shops across the city.
as far as friends go, they're all going to be famous. i imagine most of them will be fellow actors and singers but there's likely to be some models, fashion designers and general socialites in there too. if nobody knows who you are, she'll have little time for you unless you can impress her - this will usually be through vocals but she might pay attention to a stunning little actor/actress if she sees them in a good movie.
as for enemies, i imagine she's going to get on a few people's nerves but she keeps her more unpleasant side hidden from the cameras so these people will need to have met her in person. eupraxia gets rather annoyed with anyone that doesn't know of her or doesn't appreciate her success and she also gets annoyed by people that have no talent but are still trying to invade the industry. what annoys her even more is when they actually manage to do so.
